| Now its time to whittle out the pipe! I started with a little twig, one that is a little green so as not to splinter up while carving. |
| One part of the branch becomes the stem while the fatter end is the bowl! |
| Here he is trying it out for size, now I just need to paint it up! I almost forgot to add that I took a little sand paper to it to give 'em a "worn" look! |
| With a little painting magic its ready to glue into place. I think it looks pretty realistic...I'm waiting to see if smoke comes out! |
| Time for Willie to take a dip! He might not like that and by the photo below I don't think he does! This is a coating of boiled linseed oil for the finishing touch! |
| One other idea is to add another "prop" to complete the scene...so I carved up a little mail box for him... |
